The Legacy SoCal team recently completed a six-week project in Los Angeles County. The work involved injecting S-MicroZVI (Regenesis) via direct push points. Additionally, Lactoil, Wilclear, and SDC-9 (JRW Remediation Products) were injected through 4-inch injection wells.

All three reagents were delivered as liquids, with approximately 45 IBC totes transported to the site to support the injection program.

Both reagent mixtures were prepared onboard one of our self-contained injection trailers.

This specific trailer was equipped with two 150-gallon stainless steel mixing tanks, multiple injection pumps, and a 10-point injection manifold.

The direct push tooling was advanced using a Geoprobe 7822DT track-mounted rig. We targeted 5-foot treatment intervals within a 30-foot injection zone from 45 to 75 feet.

Reaching 75 feet in this area is no easy task, but we were able to achieve that depth at nearly all locations.

The well injection approach utilized inflatable packers to isolate the screened interval within the 4-inch injection well.

Since the injection wells were located inside a building with limited access, we used a winch system attached to a forklift to safely lower the packer and injection screen assembly to the target zone.

The business we were working at was very active, with frequent delivery trucks and constant movement of palletized materials throughout the site. Where possible, we used low-profile crossover ramps to avoid interrupting their operations.

The facility staff also operated forklifts with loads at higher speeds between two yard areas. At this gate opening, we installed an improvised overhead pipe rack to support our injection hoses using a heavy duty ratchet strap, allowing safe passage beneath the hoses without requiring the drivers to slow down to drive over a ramp.

Overall, the project was executed safely and efficiently. We manifolded to multiple points, used numerous crossover ramps to avoid impeding truck and forklift traffic, and worked around the tenant’s ongoing operations. This project is another strong example of Legacy’s field team’s attention to detail and commitment to both our client and our client’s client.
