At an industrial facility in Orange County, California, the Legacy Remediation Southern California team completed an alkaline-activated PersulfOx® injection project utilizing 12 four-inch injection wells. The project involved the injection of more than 81,000 pounds of PersulfOx® to support the site's ongoing environmental groundwater remediation efforts.

REGENESIS® supplied the PersulfOx®, which was delivered to the site in 34 super sacks weighing approximately 2,400 pounds each.

The 25% sodium hydroxide activator was delivered to the site in 25 IBC totes, each containing approximately 250 gallons (3,300 pounds) of solution.

Our bulk loading and screw feeder mixing system enabled the efficient mixing and injection of up to 11,000 pounds of PersulfOx® per day throughout the project.

The bulk loader was equipped with a diverter valve on the screw feeder, allowing operators to easily direct material flow to either mix tank and maintain efficient production.

This image shows the 4-inch column of dry PersulfOx® flowing into one of the mix tanks. The screw feeder conveyed approximately 250 pounds of PersulfOx® in less than 10 seconds, enabling rapid and efficient batch preparation.

The bulk feeder was mounted on load cells, allowing the team to accurately measure and batch the required quantity of PersulfOx® for each mix cycle.

We utilized our standard wellhead manifolds to connect to the 4-inch injection wells, providing a reliable and safe method for delivering the PersulfOx® solution throughout the project.

Because many of the injection wells were located between occupied industrial buildings, the team utilized crossover ramps and traffic cones to maintain safe access and minimize disruption to facility tenants during injection activities.

The project was completed safely and efficiently through the combined efforts of our field crew and the use of our bulk material handling, mixing, and injection systems. These capabilities allowed us to significantly exceed our initial daily production rate assumptions, resulting in the project being completed four days ahead of schedule and providing substantial cost savings to our client.
