The Legacy Remediation Team recently completed a direct-push injection project in Contra Costa County. The location was a former dry-cleaning facility that is now occupied by an active furniture business. This project required careful planning and execution to ensure remediation objectives were met while minimizing disruption to ongoing site operations.

To address the subsurface groundwater contamination, our team injected a combination of REGENESIS Remediation Solutions reagents, including PlumeStop, AquiFix, and S-MicroZVI.
Logistics were another key component of this project. With minimal onsite storage available, all reagents were staged at Legacy’s regional office and delivered to the site on a daily, as-needed basis.

Due to limited access across the site, Legacy utilized a Geoprobe 420M limited-access direct-push rig to advance tooling.
Special attention was given to protect the floor and the furnture in the showroom.

Working within an active commercial space required close coordination and a heightened focus on safety, housekeeping, and communication with the tenant to minimize the impact to business operations.

We utilized one of our standard self-contained injection trailers fitted with a 10-point injection manifold.

We’re proud of our team’s attention to detail and care in executing remediation work in occupied spaces, and we appreciate the cooperation of the current tenant throughout the process.
