ZVI Slurry Injection via Sonic Drilling

The entire Legacy Team is hard at work this week with six active remediation projects across Northern and Southern California.
For most projects, we deploy one of our custom-built, self-contained Injection Trailers, designed for efficiency and quick setup, allowing injections to begin within just a few hours of arriving onsite.
Not every site fits that model, though. In this time-lapse video, you’ll see one of our Southern California crews setting up a larger system for a Zero-Valent Iron (ZVI) slurry injection using Sonic Drilling method. Even with the additional setup requirements, our team was still ready to begin injections the same day.
At this site, each Sonic injection point will receive approximately 26,000 pounds of ZVI. This is a great example of how we adapt our equipment and approach to meet the demands of the project.
