The Legacy Remediation team recently completed another successful remediation injection project in southwestern Los Angeles County.

Our field crew performed direct push injections at 24 treatment points, targeting contaminated intervals between 20 and 45 feet below ground surface (bgs). A top-down injection approach was utilized, treating the subsurface in 5-foot intervals to ensure effective amendment distribution throughout the target zone.

A total of 705 gallons of amendment mixture was injected at each point, consisting of JRW Wilclear Plus®, LactOil®, and Accelerite®.

Each injection point was also bioaugmented with KB-1®, followed by an anaerobic water flush to support long-term biological treatment objectives.

Anaerobic water was prepared onsite using an oxygen scavenger and Legacy Remediation's 1,000-gallon poly storage tanks.

In addition, Legacy coordinated the installation of a construction hydrant meter through the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power to support project water supply needs.

Great work by the field team for delivering a safe, efficient, and high-quality project from start to finish. We appreciate the opportunity to help our clients advance their site remediation goals and look forward to the next successful project.
