The Legacy Remediation Team recently completed injection pilot testing using heated water at a site in Los Angeles County. To deliver the project, we installed dual instant water heaters capable of continuously producing 140°F water at 20 gallons per minute.

Given the site’s challenging geology, we partnered with Veteran Drilling, who deployed one of their CPT trucks equipped with a Direct Push Hammer to advance injection tooling between 110–135 feet.

Our client continuously monitored groundwater temperatures and groundwater levels in adjacent wells to evaluate injection performance and the radius of influence.

This wasn’t a typical injection test, however, it showcases how the Legacy Team can bring innovative client ideas into the field and execute them safely and effectively.
Of course, we developed custom Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and implemented additional safety measures. In the end, the project was both safe and successful, a true example of teamwork and problem-solving in action.
