The Legacy Remediation Southern California Team recently completed an Oxygen BioChem (OBC) direct-push injection project behind an active service station in Orange County.

This site presented the kind of logistical and operational challenges we regularly navigate: working in close proximity to an active business while addressing subsurface petroleum hydrocarbon groundwater contamination.

The 1-1/2 inch Direct Push Injection tooling was advanced with a Geoprobe 6011DT.
We treated six (6) 4-foot long treatment intervals across a 24 foot treatmetn interval between 11 to 35 feet deep.

For this project, Legacy mixed and injected an OBC solution.
OBC is a Klozur sodium persulfate–based reagent blended with calcium peroxide as an activator. This combination is commonly used to treat petroleum hydrocarbons by generating oxidizing conditions in the aquifer.

Josh, Moises, and Anthony demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and commitment to safety throughout the injection process, from equipment setup and reagent handling to monitoring injection pressures and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
Projects like this highlight what Legacy Remediation does best: delivering effective in-situ groundwater remediation solutions while adapting to real-world site constraints. We’re proud of our SoCal team for another flawless injection effort and appreciate the trust our clients to support environmental cleanup efforts across California.
