The Legacy SoCal team recently completed an in-situ remediation project involving direct push technology (DPT) injection of Oxygen BioChem (OBC™), supplied by Redox Tech. OBC is a blended reagent consisting of sodium persulfate and calcium peroxide, utilizing Evonik’s Klozur™ activation chemistry.

Each injection point was cleared to a depth of 5 feet bgs by our subcontractor, ABC Drilling, using vacuum excavation with air knife technology.

The direct push injection tooling was advanced between 15 to 35 feet using one of our Geoprobe 7822DT direct push rigs.

The blended OBC ISCO reagent was delivered in 25 kg screw-lid pails.

The OBC mixture was prepared and injected using one of our self-contained injection trailers.

Our purpose-built injection support trucks often go unnoticed, but they are a critical component of every project. They are fully stocked with all necessary tooling and supplies, along with backup pumps, equipment, and standard inventory items, ensuring we are always prepared for whatever the project demands.

Upon completion, each injection point is pressure-grouted using a Portland cement slurry, IAW LACDPH and CA Well Standards Bulletins.
Our small-batch, air-operated ChemGrout pumps are well suited for this task.
This project was safely completed on time and on budget, just another example of how experience, training, specialized equipment, and field-ready logistics come together to deliver effective and efficient remediation solutions for our clients.
