ELS injection in Orange County

The Legacy SoCal Team recently completed a direct-push injection at a project site in Orange County using Evonik reagents: concentrated ELS (Emulsified Lecithin Substrate), Zero-Valent Iron (ZVI), and GeoForm Soluble, along with bioaugmentation using Dehalococcoides (DHC) microbial culture.

The site was a former dry-cleaning facility, but is currently between tenants, which allowed us easy access to both interior and exterior locations.

As always with ELS Concentrate, we used one of our custom shearing/emulsifying systems to ensure the proper mixture.

We used our Geoprobe 6011 for this project to advance the Injeciton Tooling. The versatility and reliability of the 6011 make it a valuable tool for injection projects like this, especially at sites with interior access constraints and tight working conditions.

Big thanks to our field crews that do this work every day! Their attention to detail, commitment to safety, and experience make projects like this look effortless.
