EDS-ER & Nutrimens DPT Injection in Contra Costa County

The Legacy NorCal Team recently completed a successful direct‑push injection project in Contra Costa County. We injected a mixture of EDS ER and Nutrimens to enhance biological activity within the treatment zone and promote effective in-situ remediation of the impacted groundwater.

As a standard safety practice for all of our injection projects, our team hand augered the first 5 feet prior to advancing Direct Push Injection Tooling.

We used a Geoprobe 6011 to advance the injection tooling to the target depths.

We utilized 2‑foot top‑down injection tools and targeted eleven (11) two‑foot treatment intervals between 13 and 35 feet bgs.

Due to limited secure onsite storage, the EDS-ER and Nutrimens was inventoried at Legacy’s Benicia warehouse, with daily deliveries made as needed.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a good water source onsite, and the hydrants were located across the street. The mix water was sourced from a nearby hydrant and delivered to the work area with a water truck.

All mixing and pumping was done from one of our standard Self Contained Injection Trailers.

We are proud of our field crew for their good housekeeping, professionalism, and strong focus on safety throughout the project. Excellent work, team!
